Hello, I’m Mary Smeaton.
I am a thoughtful, detail-driven graphic designer based in Toronto. My creative philosophy is simple: thoughtful organization can happily coexist with bold creativity.
After years of designing intuitively, I strengthened my practice through formal graphic design training at the Toronto Film School and later earned my Bachelor of Creative Arts from Yorkville University. Today, my work primarily focuses on layout, brand identity, and motion graphics, bringing together strategic thinking and careful planning to solve creative challenges.
More recently, I've begun exploring lettering as another creative outlet, combining typography, illustration, and hand-drawn forms. It's an opportunity to experiment, continue learning, and bring an even more personal touch to my work.
Ultimately, I love creating thoughtful, engaging designs that are both purposeful and meaningful. I especially love it when a plan comes together (and I pity the fool who doesn’t get that reference).
